Democracy Democrac Democra Democr Democ Demo Dem De D…

Part of Peter Joseph’s series Culture In Decline. Love the fact that he does not contribute the present reality to a conspiracy but a manifestation of a value system we have come to accept. Now that’s a welcome change from the theme of most thought provoking videos. I truly believe in democracy but only when the noblest are elected by the wise.

“Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to chose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education.”
– Franklin D. Roosevelt

“The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.”
– Winston Churchill

“If voting made any difference they wouldn’t let us do it.”
– Mark Twain

I am often of the opinion that a system capable of regularly screwing 49% of the population may not be the best way of doing things.

    Great quotes, by the way.

so true JP…thanks for sharing your thoughts!I believe that the majority has no right to rule over the minority..if only we could come up with a new system…anything new is destroyed by the corruption on those in power..democracy somehow has the ability to survive in spite of corruption and that is why it has outlived all other systems…maybe the illusion of power that people perceive blinds them to the ills of democracy.
