Although I permanently try not to step into politics and religions I was really pleased with this result of the election.

  2. Why is it so difficult to be silent? haha! I want to scream and shout but I’ll refrain. 😉

hahaha…I so feel the same way….I still am right of center…I think I’ll stay home with my republican friends and leave the partying to the democrats.

I have to admit; I am incredibly bummed. I am worried for what’s ahead. And the divisiveness and anger still rages on. *sigh* I am just hopeful things turn around, that the parties start working together to get through this. I am not hopeful right now. The idea of four more years is not feeling good but things will work out. They always do.

  4. I agree with Kathleen. I am seriously bummed about this. I’m not anti-anyone, but I don’t like it when people call each other names and uses the differences between groups of people for political advantage. In my opinion, that is the tactic of the Dem party.I’m not saying Reps haven’t done it too. I’m just saying that the Dem party now is more racist and bigoted than ever, and they use fear of these things to silence their opposition. I think that is wrong. I’m a small government girl, myself. If my employer isn’t supposed to ask about marital status, sexual orientation, health, or religion – what the hell is my government doing in those private areas of my life???

Anyway, things don’t always turn out for the best. (Treaty of Versailles, anyone?) All we can do is keep working to stop name-calling, stop injustice where-ever we see it, and honor the essential humanity in each of us. We keep on because we must.

True Shannon and good to hear your views.
The leftists have always used “Fear” as their weapon to garner support. They need injustice and differences to feed their own power. Their approach has been to highlight differences and not common areas. Without this, Socialism would not exist. I hope socialist mechanisms do not get engrained in the US system in the next 4 years.

  5. Cheers, I am an independent!

  6. Salud!! Late but still celebrating. 😉
